I use the techniques taught to me in my first Pranic Healing class daily. Both as an acupuncturist for my patients, but also for my own personal healing and self-care. Let me share with you where my own journey to self-healing began.
In 2005, I lost my best friend to suicide. The months that followed were some of the darkest and lowest points in my life. Losing someone you love is hard enough, adding constant guilt and blame that you could have done something different only amplifies your sense of loss. This spiraled me into depression and anxiety, which also resulted in horrible insomnia. I couldn’t seem to shake the dark cloud off of me, until I had a chance encounter with a Pranic Healer the following year.
I was in my first year studying Integrative Health and Healing, when a professor of mine recommended me to see a Pranic Healer after I discussed the problems I was facing. This practitioner explained to me that my repetitive thoughts and emotions were actually creating a dark cloud around my energy body, and that with meditation along with several self-healing techniques, that I could slowly come out of this despair by clearing the blockages in my energy centers.
I found a Level One course a few weeks away in Madison, and ordered the Meditation on Twin Hearts CD ahead of the class to practice right away. At first, I laughed at the strange Chinese-Filipino accent I was hearing, and later cried out of the relief of letting go. The guided practice was only 22 minutes, but I remember it feeling like an eternity during the stillness. That was the first night I could sleep like a baby in over a year.
During the first morning of the class, I had so many “ah-ha!” moments that I knew this was something I needed to learn more about and to integrate into my life. We learned about the chakras or energy centers that control different organs and emotions, and how our own energy impacts our friends, family, and the world around us. To change the world around us, it begins with ourselves and our own path of inner-peace and self-discovery. I wasn’t aware of it at the time, but I had finally found what I had been searching for: a deep sense of connection to the world around me combined with purpose.
Over ten years later I can say that my life is divided into two parts, because everything that happened to me after I learned Pranic Healing has been on an upward trend. I’ve now taught the course internationally and helped set up the first Pranic Healing center in Mongolia, proving that these teachings can benefit everyone- regardless of their culture or background. These simple, yet powerful techniques, have the ability to change lives as I’ve personally experienced it and witnessed with hundreds of students (and hundreds of thousands globally).
I humbly invite you on this path of self-discovery and awakening, whether you want to become a healer, or you are looking for healing, there is something in these teachings for everyone. To quote my teacher, Master Choa Kok Sui, “Do not blindly believe what has been taught to you. Test the techniques for yourself, validate them, and then come to your own conclusions.” Learn Pranic Healing, and let it change your life as it has mine.
